Day 1 - Friday  
Motor Coach Pick up at central Edinburgh Hotels Arrival at Galashiels, and the country house we will call home for the duration of your stay.  Time to unpack and relax as you enjoy a light buffet at the welcome reception and meet your fellow travelers. Time to stretch your legs and explore the walking paths of the extensive grounds before heading to a local hidden village for your evening meal.
 
Day 2 - Saturday  
Delicious breakfast at the farm house, cooked to order by your host. Coach departs for Blackness Castle, film location for TV series Outlander & Kinneil House with its rich history from Roman times through to the industrial revolution. Lunch will be Afternoon Tea served on board a steam train at the Scottish Railway museum.
 
Day 3 - Sunday  
After a late start and light Breakfast, we head off in search of another Castle, where we have a  private tour followed by traditional English Sunday lunch served at the privately owned Thirlestane Castle. In the evening back to the house for a light buffet.

Day 4 - Monday
After a good breakfast, we head to the Weaverly Tartan Factory where you learn how tartan is made and pick out your clan tartan, with shopping at the factory shop. We take lunch in a at the Waterwheel Cafe and tour the Philiphaugh Estate and Distillery in the afternoon.  

Day 5 - Tuesday  
After breakfast at the farm house, we set out to Glasgow and the National Bagpipe Center where you will learn about the history of the bagpipes and have a go playing them. Lunch is at the Piper Tryst. Then we travel onwards to a Haggis Farm to see how they are 'caught' and prepared before enjoying a freshly prepared Haggis dinner (veggi option available).  

Day 6 - Wednesday
Today we visit the Capital City of Scotland, Edinburgh, and take you on a special tour of the Royal Yacht Britannia. Then we enjoy a 5 course afternoon tea served at her sister ship, The Fingal. The afternoon is free time to enjoy shopping and sight seeing as you explore the city.

Day 7 -Thursday
Today we visit Abbortsford Castle, the home of Sir Walter Scott, for a private tour. Lunch is at Kings Knowles Edwardian Hotel, followed by shopping in the market town of Melrose. Farewell dinner is served at the house.

Day 8 - Friday 
This morning we head out to Edinburgh airport for departures or into Edinburgh for onward stays.

We highly recommend guests arrive into Edinburgh prior to the first day of the tour.
